Windows XP Adminstrator password

Aku baru dapat laptop baru kat office, diorang install XP tapi diorang tak kasik aku Administrator password, konon2 nya tak nak kasik staff install 3rd party software laaa... ridiculous..

Tapi aku perlu install other softwares, yg require aku utk keyin Admin password tuh. And aku takder CD original XP tu..

Soalan aku:

1) Apa cara terbaik untuk aku atasi masalah ini tanpa perlu aku mendelete XP ori yg sedia ada yg diorang dah set utk aku access company aku nyer LAN?

2) Aku ada search Internet, satu solution is to reset the password using Linux-based bootable file. Camner ek? Aku mmg tak paham ler..

3) Sorang kawan aku cakap, aku leh install another copy of XP in the same harddisk (guna pirate CD yg beli kat lowyat ler), so aku ada option masa booting nak masuk XP1 or XP2, and aku leh install apa aku nak kalau boot using XP2, but aku still boleh boot guna XP1 bila aku connect to LAN kat company aku. Betul ker aku leh wat camni?

So bijak pandai kat seberang sana, tolong lah aku.. ::: :rolleyes:

yooo .. regarding your query ..

1) takde cara nak reset admin password melainkan account lain yg ada admin rights atau superadmin (safe mode).

2) never heard of this workaround .. kalau betul then NT tech is a total failure ..

3) yep can be done even on the same partition. masa installation rename windows folder to something else. as for program files & document and settings folder will be automaticly rename. tak ingat apa nama yg di rename nya tapi something like "program files 2" ..

Aku ada terjumpa workaround yg overkewl citer yg no. 2 tuh, pasal resetting password tuh, tapi aku tak paham gak.. Cuba ko tolong jenguk kat sini.. mana tau ko leh citer kat aku sket..

The linux thingy does work !! Win2k and WinXP is so vurnerable !! Shit mann .. NT sucks !

Dengan tool nie memang konpirm there is nothing more to hide beb ..

Link yg ko kasik tu actually more to Active Directory manage account and password. For offline or local machine simple jek .. ko download the bd040116.zip file tuh. Then unzip and run install.bat. Insert a blank healthy disk .. let the thing run and reboot. Once reboot pakai boot disk tu, messy sket sebab running linux thingy .. but the instructions are very clear .. just follow on screen instruction.

Test yg akoo buat memula,

1. Reset SuperAdmin (safemode) password .. NO GO
2. Reset account with Admin right .. NO GO

Moskel gak akoo tak jalan memula, pastuh baca2 balik .. masa nak reset password tuh ada satu option where u input '*' it will blank the password. Akoo try on both account ... SUCCESSFUL !!

*but ada reminder katanye once reset the password, kalau account tu pakai EFS .. document yg encrypted tak leh bukak

Kalau nak reset Domain Controller admin and user account password .. ko follow the rest of the page nye tutorial .. akoo nak try besok for AD kat opis nanti ..

satu lagi question..

The encrypted EFS file, what are they? And what are they for ( i mean why these files were created in the first place?). Penting ker file tu utk aku as a user yg still guna notebook ni utk access LAN kat company aku?

EFS = Encrypted File System .. ada dalam Win2k and XP. Design utk memudahkan users enrypt data and share dgn org yg derang nak sahaja. If the admin account uses this EFS .. once the password change .. these encrypted files cannot be access.

If u right click on a file -> properties -> advance .. ko akan nampak 'Encryt data to secure content'

Nak carik files or folder yg pakai EFS nie akoo tak sure la plak. Ko tanyer je la user ko tu ada pakai option tu tak.

kalau nak buang terus pasword tu pun boleh guna bootable disk linux aku ada disk tu....heheheh
