sabtu lepas, aku buat ujian dyno bersama 4 lagi rakan kelab di GT Auto, Sunway.
pernah buat sebelum ni pada 15/09/2007, masa keadaan standard tanpa 'toyol'.
jadi, results di bawah ni...adalah perbandingan results tahun 2007 dan results sabtu lepas.
ujian dyno untuk mengetahui peningkatan kuasa kuda dan tork.

graf biru: max. power = 89.87hp & max. torque = 112.26Nm
graf merah: max. power = 98.76hp & max. torque = 124.31Nm
horsepower: +8.89hp @ 9.89%
torque: +11.95Nm @ 10.64%

102hp @ 6,000RPM and 140Nm @ 2,750RPM
tapi itu on-engine (pada engine's flywheel), not on-wheel...seperti dyno chart di bawah ni.

perbandingan antara transmisi automatik dan transmisi manual...
too much torque loss in the automatic hence the horsepower, too.
what will the results looks like if the automatic convert to manual transmission?
in the automatic transmission, the torque/power losses are come from the torque converter.
the efficiency of the torque converter way less than the clutch system in manual transmission.

konpius aku standed hp 102hp,kenapa lepas dyno dan ada godek2 sikit hp dia jadi 98.76hp aje....explain needed pls
standard 102hp tu results pada on-engine iaitu pada flywheel.
98.76hp itu pula diukur dari kuasa putaran roda yang memutarkan drum dyno.
ini dinamakan power/torque on-wheel.
ini adalah lebih realistic kerana ianya merupakan kuasa dan tork bersih yang dihantar enjin ke tayar melalui sistem klac, kotak gear dan aci pandu.
jika diukur pada on-wheel pula ianya akan susut dalam beberapa peratus kerana terdapat losses dalam sistem transmisi.
peratus kesusutan kuasa pada transmisi automatik adalah lebih tinggi berbanding dengan transmisi manual.
berikut adalah beberapa anggapan faktor kesusutan kuasa/tork:
1. Average real transmission and tyre losses are about 10% of the flywheel power plus 10bhp for FWD cars and 12% plus 10bhp for RWD cars. This equates to about 15% to 17% for cars of "average" power output.
2. VW technical also quote their cars as losing, on average, about 15% of the flywheel power in the transmission and tyres.
3. The chassis dyno division of Bosch UK also suggest 15% as being a realistic estimate of transmission losses.
berikut pula adalah anggaran kasar dalam menentukan kuasa engine (hp) daripada engine hp ke wheel hp atau sebaliknya:
Converting wheel bhp to flywheel bhp and vice versa
To reflect the fact that % losses are high for low powered cars and vice versa I use the following equations which have been found to correlate well with real world transmission losses.
FWD cars - add 10 bhp to the wheel figure and divide the result by 0.9
RWD cars - add 10 bhp to the wheel figure and divide the result by 0.88
4WD cars - add 10bhp to the wheel figure and divide the result by 0.84
To estimate the expected wheel bhp from a known flywheel bhp just reverse the equations
FWD - multiply flywheel power by 0.9 and then deduct a further 10 bhp
RWD - multiply flywheel power by 0.88 and then deduct a further 10 bhp
4WD - multiply flywheel power by 0.84 and then deduct a further 10 bhp
Remember, these percentages are not "gospel" - they are good realistic averages. The measured wheel bhp can change depending on tyre pressure, tyre size, suspension angles and other things which won't affect flywheel power - so the actual transmission loss % will also change. It pays to try and standardize as many of these things as possible if you intend to do a series of power runs over a period of time. Always use the same tyre pressure because this is a factor which can easily change from day to day and make sure the tracking is correct on a fwd car. Copyright David Baker and Puma Race Engines
Also please remember that the manufacturer's claimed power figures for a standard car are not gospel either. Even engines in perfect condition can vary by plus or minus 5% due to manufacturing tolerances. High mileage or poorly maintained engines can be well below the claimed output. It is no proof that a rolling road flywheel bhp estimate is correct just because it comes out as the same figure as the manufacturer's. Always compare with the measured wheel bhp to see if the transmission losses agree with the data above.

5. De-cat with stainless steel 2.0 inch piping - RM400 (dari extractor sampai muffler), unit terpakai...beli dari rakan kelab
6. Matspeed camshaft (mild cam) - swap + duit, dari rakan kelab
tu belum kira labour cost.
aku personally admit yang ianya berkos tinggi sedangkan peningkatan tidak seberapa.

A'a memang laa kos tinggi kalau sekali gedebuk buat. Thats why kita buat sikit demi skit. So baru kepuasan tu datang sikit demi skit. Kan kan. Kalau terus2 terus dah power tak best laa camtu kan. So isu kos tinggi tu tak timbul sangat sbb ia dalam jangka masa yang sesuai. Tepuk poket tanya laa nafsu. Huhuhu.

ikut nafsu kalu, convert terus enjin turbo... itu nafsu la.. tapi poket tak mampu hehehehehe..
skrg semua barang mahal, siot betol la.. gearbox 4G13/15 dulu dalam RM4-5ratus skrg dah jadi near RM1++K dah.. giler..

mean kalo waja standed on wheel lagi kurang laa hp dia kan? agak dalam berapa percent pengurangan dari on engine ke on wheel....senang nak buat anggaran kasar

tp utk waja CPS itu hari, masa launch proton umum 125hp, tp kat paultan masa dia test dyno mmg dapat hampir sama, 124+hp kalau tak salah.. maybe lani dia org pun dah main on wheel punya dyno utk letak kat spec sheet brochure pengguna kot?

TQ bro...kalao keta aku on engine 220hp...then amik hukum ini (FWD cars - add 10 bhp to the wheel figure and divide the result by 0.9)
220+10/0.9 so jadi 255.5555 arghhh pening2 napa jadi bertambah plak ni
mie...aku rasa 220hp ko tu adalah whp atau horsepower on-wheel...yang sampai ke putaran roda dari enjin.
kalau nak anggar horsepower on-engine...yang terhasil pada flywheel, then rule-of-thumbnya ==> "FWD cars - add 10 bhp to the wheel figure and divide the result by 0.9"
horsepower on-engine = (220hp + 10hp) / 0.9
horsepower on-engine = 230hp / 0.9
horsepower on-engine = 255.56hp
daripada anggaran di atas, rule-of-thumb tersebut memberikan anggaran kehilangan kuasa dalam sistem transmisi adalah lebih kurang,
((255.56hp - 220hp) / 255.56hp) * 100% = 13.9%
kehilangan kuasa dalam sistem transmisi automatik adalah lebih tinggi berbanding sistem transmisi manual.

220hp x 13.9%= 30.58hp
220hp - 30.58hp = 189.42hp
